Scope of application

With this Privacy Policy* users receive information about how their data are collected and used by the accountable provider (“controller”) along with the scope and purpose of collecting and utilising their data. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the new version of the German Federal Data Protection Act (“BDSG-neu”) and the German Telemedia Act (“TMG”) constitute the statutory framework for data protection.

Acquisition of general information

Information of a general nature is automatically acquired when you access our website. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar items. This deals exclusively with information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you as a person. The information is necessary for technical reasons in order to properly implement the content of website pages you have requested and arises in a compulsory manner when the internet is used. Anonymous information of this nature is statistically analysed by us to optimise our internet presentation and the technology behind it.

Contact Form

In the event of a query via the online contact form or email, we collect the surname, first name, your title (when needed) and the email address towards rendering the respective services and towards establishing contact. A utilisation of personal data that goes beyond this does not take place or occurs solely following prior consent on the part of the user. Personal data are erased as soon as they are no longer required for fulfilling the purpose of storage.

Integration of third-party services and content

Our offer sometimes includes content, services and deliverables from other providers. These are, for instance, maps that are made available by Google Maps, videos from YouTube, and graphic artwork and images from other websites. Transmission of the IP address is imperative so that these data can be retrieved and depicted in the user’s browser. In other words, the providers (designated as “third-party providers” in the following) are aware of the respective user’s IP address. Even though we endeavour to exclusively make use of third-party providers that need the IP address solely to be able to supply content, we have no influence whatsoever on whether the IP address might possibly be stored. In that case this occurrence serves inter alia statistical purposes. To the extent that we are aware that the IP address is being stored, we point this out to our users.

Cookies

This website uses so-called “cookies”. They are text files that come from the server and are stored on your computer. They contain information about the browser, the IP address, the operating system and internet connection. These data are not relayed to third parties by us or linked to personal data by us without your consent. Cookies primarily fulfil two tasks. They help us to facilitate navigation throughout our offer and enable the proper presentation of the website. They are not used to introduce viruses or to start software programs. Users have the possibility to access our offer without cookies, too. The corrresponding settings in the browser must be changed to do this. Please obtain information about how cookies are disabled via the Help function in your browser. However, we do point out that some of the functions on this website might possibly be impaired and the usage comfort limited as a result. Use of Google Analytics

This website makes use of Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics utilises so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your usage of the website. As a rule, the information generated by the cookie regarding your usage of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Due to the activation of IP anonymisation on the pages of this website, within the member nations of the European Union or in other signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA Agreement) your IP address is abbreviated beforehand by Google. The full IP address is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there only in exceptional cases. Google shall make use of this information on behalf of the operator of this website to analyse your usage of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to render other services associated with website and internet use vis-à-vis the website operator. The IP address communicated by your browser within the course of Google Analytics is not merged with other data at Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies via an appropriate setting in your browser software. However, we explicitly point out that in this case you might not be able to utilise all the functions on this website to their fullest extent. Above and beyond this, you can prevent the capturing of data (including your IP address) generated by the cookie and data referring to your usage of the website from going to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading the browser plug-in available at the following link and installing it: Browser Add On zur Deaktivierung von Google Analytics.
You can find more detailed information regarding the terms of use and data protection at: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html   or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

Your rights to information, rectification, blocking, erasure and objection

Upon application and free of charge, you have the right to request information regarding personal data stored with us and/or demand a rectification, blocking or erasure thereof. Exceptions: The situation deals with required data storage towards the completion of transactions or the data are governed by the statutory retention obligation. When these purposes apply, please contact our Data Protection Officer (contact data: at the end of the Privacy Policy). To be able to make provisions for a lock on data at all times it is necessary to keep the data in reserve in a lock file for monitoring purposes. If no statutory obligation for archiving exists, you can also demand erasure of the data. Otherwise we block the data, if that is what you want. Due to statutory stipulations, in certain cases we are obligated to divulge your personal data to third parties. For example, this is the case when suspicion of a criminal offence or of improper use of our website exists. In such cases we are obliged to disclose your data to the law enforcement agencies in charge. Insofar as we have availed ourselves of third-party enterprises during data processing (so-called “data processing on behalf”) for the fulfilment of existing contractual obligations towards you, said enterprises are contractually obligated to handle your data diligently in compliance with statutory data protection regulations and according to our instructions, and to utilise this data neither for their own purposes nor to divulge this data to any third parties.
